In the heart of a bright green jungle lived Leo the Lemur, who loved showing off. He swung from branches, twirled his striped tail, and shouted,
“No one leaps like Leo!”
The parrots rolled their eyes, the monkeys covered their ears, and the frogs groaned. Everyone agreed—Leo was funny, but oh-so boastful.
Trouble on the Jungle Floor
One afternoon, Leo spotted a patch of ripe, golden bananas. They dangled just above the jungle floor, glowing like treasure. “Those bananas are mine!” he declared.
As he climbed down, Leo didn’t notice a large, sleepy crocodile sunbathing right beneath the tree. The crocodile yawned so wide that Leo nearly fell in from shock.
“Oh no!” squeaked Leo. “How do I get my bananas without becoming crocodile lunch?”
The jungle animals gathered to watch. “This is going to be good,” whispered the parrots.

The Great Lemur Leap
Leo puffed out his chest. “Stand back, everyone! You’re about to witness the Greatest Lemur Leap in History!”
He climbed higher and higher until he stood on the tallest branch. His tail flicked dramatically, his legs wiggled, and he shouted,
“Three… two… one… LEMUR LEAP!”
He soared through the air; arms flailing, eyes wide, tail twirling like a helicopter. The parrots squawked with laughter. The monkeys clapped their hands. Even the frogs cheered.
Leo landed right on the banana bunch, bounced onto a vine, and swung safely away from the crocodile, bananas in hand.
The jungle erupted in applause. “Bravo, Leo! That was the silliest, most daring leap we’ve ever seen!”
Lesson from the Leap
Leo strutted proudly, bananas stacked in his arms. But then he tripped on his own tail, sending bananas flying into the air. The monkeys caught them, the parrots pecked them, and the frogs hopped off with a few.
Leo laughed so hard he didn’t mind losing his prize. “Maybe my leap was great,” he admitted, “but the real fun was sharing it with everyone!”
From that day on, Leo was still boastful, but a little kinder. Whenever he leapt, he invited the whole jungle to join in, and every leap ended with laughter.
The End !
